ExCeL move positions IP Expo as the major European IT event on the international circuit

With backing from London & Partners, IP Expo Europe is set to relocate to ExCeL London in 2014.

The move will help organisers deliver an even better event, offering visitors more relevant content and more expert commentary on all the latest technology trends in the new venue.

The main focus at IP Expo Europe 2014 will be the new interconnected halls covering the headline topics of Security & Governance, Applications & Devices and Networks & Cloud, and each will host aligned sub-themes. IP Expo has already grown in size this year with the introduction of its five new themes and expanded exhibitor line-up.
Hugh Keeble, managing director of IP Expo Europe organiser, Imago Techmedia, said, 'The ongoing success of the brand means the move to ExCeL London is the next logical step for us. The event has evolved over the last few years, as IP Expo Europe 2013 has demonstrated with the addition of five new themes that address a broader range of technologies.

'IP EXPO Europe 2014 is focused on growing the numbers of European and UK delegates by delivering relevant, contentious and interesting topics through a new international keynote conference and associated seminars. Its location lends itself to overseas visitors since the venue is perfectly situated near hotels, shops, restaurants, the Underground, and London City Airport,' concluded Keeble.

The relocation of IP Expo Europe to ExCel London has been achieved through the assistance and cooperation of London & Partners, the Mayor’s official promotional organisation for London.

Gordon Innes, CEO of London & Partners, said, 'We are really pleased IP Expo Europe is moving to ExCeL in London. As one of the major enterprise IT trade shows in Europe, this event will further strengthen London’s position as  one of the leading ‘Tech Cities’ of the world. London already provides a home for innovation and creative thinking within the global technology industry and we believe Imago’s plans to bring the whole of the IT industry together in London in October will help to cement this position.'

With the increase in floor space and the addition of the two new halls, Imago Techmedia aims to double the amount of international exhibitors, increase the number of exhibitors overall, and attract more visitors. The event’s partners will also benefit from this increase in venue size and scope and the organiser has forged links with many of the biggest names in the international IT space, including Apple, Aruba, Blackberry, Citrix, Dell, Google, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Nokia, Oracle, SAP, Siemens, Symantec, Trend Micro, and more.

IP Expo Europe 2013 takes place on 16th and 17th October at Earls Court 2 and will host over 250 exhibitors and 14,000 attendees over the two days. It will address core themes, including networks, storage, virtualisation, cloud, and security, applications, communications, mobility & devices, governance & risk and data & analytics.
